Failure is an event, but it does not define me. I am an awesome amazing person capable of many outstanding things!

It's all about attitude, we truly are what we believe.

People will sometimes laugh when I tell them, "It's another wonderful day in paradise and I'm having a great day". They often look at me as if I am nuts, but I go on to tell them that when I repeat that phrase to myself over and over through the course of a day, my day does get better!

I have replied with that statement whenever anyone asks me how my day is going for the last 13 years. It originally started out being said with all the frustration I could muster being poured into it, because it originally started out as a very sarcastic comment on the day.

But as I said it more and more, I also realized that the tone softened and that the day really wasn't so bad after all. As this very stressful period at work went on over a period of months, the work was the same but the attitude changed and my coworkers noticed it as well. Even though they were still miserable, I was now smiling and driving them crazy!

Now 13 years later some of them even complete it for me, before I can respond...

So repeat after me, "It's another wonderful day in paradise and I'm having a great day!"

Try it and improve your day...

Thanks for this. I live in the UK and my daughter has had problems at school with peers trying to condemn her becasue she likes to study. It gets her down and has affected her self-confidence, because she wonders if she is doing everything right then why do her 'friends' make her feel bad? This article has helped me to discuss opportunities with her, and she feels better in herself. Thanks again for hitting the nail on the head!

Thank you for such a motivational message related to self esteem. I really need such words to boost my self esteem for which I thought I lost it.
