Weight (noun) – quantity or amount of heaviness; how much a thing weighs. Webster’s Dictionary makes it sound harmless enough. Yet, it tends to be a big problem (no pun intended).

For the past 15 years, I have struggled to keep my weight down and with each passing year, it got more and more difficult. I’m now in my mid 50’s and in the past eight years alone, I put on 30 pounds.

I was now tipping the scale at the same weight as when I gave birth to my two daughters. The big difference being…..there was no baby in my tummy!

I was sluggish, short of breath, and tired of trying to hide my fat rolls. So I opted for the “miracle pills” that burn fat while you sleep. I used several brands, all with the same results. Nothing happened. The only thing they burned was a hole in my wallet.

I asked friends who had lost weight what products they were using. I would purchase them, use them, and without fail, the same thing happened. Nothing. The only thing I could say was, at least my results were consistent…meaning, NO RESULTS.

I was exercising but not consistently. I was honestly beginning to think this is the way it would be and so I had better get used to being overweight. However my doctor advised me otherwise. I was two points away from being obese and I was pre-diabetic since I carried most of my weight in my stomach and midriff.

The slogan, “Lose it (the weight) or use it (prescription medicines)” kept going ‘round and ‘round in my mind. This sounded like a no-brainer to me! So like a hamster running around those crazy wheels, I did more exercise and consumed more diet programs. The most weight I lost was two pounds, but in a few days, they came right back.

I was going nowhere and getting very frustrated. Then I received an e-mail from Vic Johnson, about Christopher Guerriero and his tremendous weight loss program.

My first thought was, “Yeah, right. This is probably just another ‘deal’ where the only winner is the person getting my money.” But the more I read, the more interested I became and I kept focusing on three words: Maximize Your Metabolism.

Suddenly, I felt like I had just won the biggest race of my life. I was finally a winner.

With my “new body” and new positive attitude, I look forward to each day with a whole new zest. Eating is now FUN and the scale is an exciting part of my day that I actually look forward to.

I will never be the same person again because of the new healthy ways I have adopted. I am half way to my ultimate goal and I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I WILL accomplish it.
